Best Resorts in Greece
Before we get into the best luxury hotels in Greece, it’s vital to understand the country’s layout. 83.3% of Greece is the mainland, surrounded by east, south, and west by about 6000 islands and islets, 220 of which are inhabited. The Greek islands are 16.7% of the total land of Greece.
This unique geography makes Greece a popular and exciting place to visit. It also houses some spectacular and world-famous hotels.
Without further ado, here are my picks of the best resorts in Greece:

When is Best to Go to Greece
Greece has 4 distinct seasons with considerable temperature differences if you are in Thessaloniki in the north or Crete in the south. The islands never close, they have permanent residents but they are at their liveliest between May and September.
The peak season in Greece is from July to August, and the islands can get very busy and crowded. The sea water is at its warmest (25-28 C) in August and September. I love exploring the islands in the off-season, and that means that there will be hotels, cafes, and taverns working, but it will be quiet with just the permanent residents.
Greece in winter
If you’re looking to escape the colder weather in your country, celebrate Christmas, enjoy hiking, and explore archaeological sites with fewer crowds and at half the price, I recommend visiting Greece between December, January, and February. Discover what to do in Greece’s warmest winter destination, Crete Island, by checking out the details here.
